The life story depicts a Hindu Lieutenant serving in the Pakistan Navy, stationed at Karachi. Despite his service, he faced discrimination in the hands of his colleagues, being considered inferior. Upon marrying a young Muslim woman, instead of acceptance, he was transferred to a laboratory tasked with handling chemicals known to have harmful genetic effects, with the sole intent of harming his future generations. His Muslim wife endured mental anguish due to her marriage to a Hindu officer. During a duty assignment aboard a ship, supposedly to entertain guests of his senior officer, he unknowingly fell into a trap orchestrated by his superiors. The sinister agenda aimed to eliminate him by administering a drug-laced soft drink, a plan devised by the Administrator. Fortunately, the presence of other Hindu families near him prevented the conspirators from succeeding, while he was in a vulnerable, intoxicated state.
Despite the thwarted attempt, he faced subsequent court-martial and punishment at the hands of his superiors. In the poignant narrative of the individual and his family, they endured egregious mistreatment at the hands of political leadership. Tragically, the protagonist, Krishna, witnessed the murder of his grandparents orchestrated by those in power, plunging his family into profound emotional and financial turmoil. As the saga unfolds, Krishna grapples with the harrowing reality of his existence, gradually succumbing to a sense of inferiority (Lesser Human) and dehumanization, both for himself and his kin.
