Mrs Raj Kumari Sharma

After the INDO-PAK partition she worked first as a school teacher in the legendary land of AALAH – UDHAL, VIRBHUMI MAHOBA and later in the Department of Education, Madhya Pradesh. For the first ten years she served as a teacher and later for 23 years she had been the Principal of School. She inherited inspiration of writing from her God-daughter(‘Dharamputri’),Urmila, the famous Punjabi poet ‘Prem Lahri’ ( love Waves) her maternal-uncle Pt.Tulsi Ram Sharma and her younger renowned literary ( ‘Varistha Sahityakar’) Dr.Tilak Raj Goswami. At home she persistently got the whole hearted support from her son Wing Commander Virendra Kumar Goswami and daughter-in-law Shashi Goswami.

We are pleased to inform you that the English translated version of the famous novel “Prateeksha” written by- Smt Rajkumari Sharma ie “Expectation” (Translated by by Dr V K Goswami) has been included in the National Book Trust of India. This is a matter of pleasure & pride for all of us to see this important work being honored.
