Acharya Badrayan

आचार्य बादरायन :
इस आचार्य ने ब्रह्म सूक्तों की रचना की थी। पुराणों के अनुसार बादरायन एवं पराशर्य व्यास एक ही थे विधान ब्राह्मण में बादरायन को अंगिरस कुल का कहा है जबकि कई विद्वानों परन्तु साम
के व्यास वसिष्ठ कुल का है। इसके शिष्यों में तांडि एवं शाट्यायनि दोनों प्रमुख थे।
ब्रह्म सूत्र : बादरायन के द्वारा रचित ब्रह्मसूत्र में चार अध्याय, सोलहपाद, एक सौ ब्यानवें अधिकरण एवं पांच सौ पचपन सूत्र है। इसे मीमांसा, बादरायण सूत्र ब्रह्ममीमांसा, वेदान्त सूत्र तथा शारीरिक सूत्र कहते हैं। इन सूत्रों का मुख्य उद्देश्य उपनिषदों के तत्वज्ञान का समन्वय करना एवं उसे समन्वित रूप में प्रस्तुत करना है। ये सभी सूत्र महत्वपूर्ण है। अपने विशिष्ट तत्वज्ञान से बादरायन ने इन्हें ग्रन्थ रूप में प्रकाशित किया। इसका यह प्रयास व्यास-रचित भगवद्गीता से साम्य रखता है। बादरायण ब्रह्म सूत्र के रचयिता थे । इसको वेदान्तशास्त्र अथवा उत्तर (ब्रह्म) मीमांसा का आधार ग्रन्थ माना गया है। आचार्य बादरायण से पूर्व भी वेदान्त के सात आचार्य हुये हैं
ब्रह्मसूत्र के प्रथम अध्याय का नाम ‘समन्वय’ है, इसमें अनेक प्रकार की परस्पर विरुद्ध श्रुतियों का समन्वय ब्रह्म में किया गया है। दूसरे अध्याय का नाम अविरोध है। तथा तृतीय अध्याय का नाम ‘साधन’ है। और चतुर्थ अध्याय का नाम फल है ।
English Translation.
Acharya Badrayan:
This Acharya composed the Brahma Suktas. According to the Puranas, Badrayan and Parasharya Vyas were the same. Vyas belongs to the Vasistha clan. Among his disciples, both Tandi and Shatyayani were prominent.
Brahma Sutra: The Brahma Sutra composed by Badarayan has four chapters, sixteen padas, one hundred and ninety nine adhikaranas and five hundred and fifty five sutras. This is called Mimamsa, Badrayana Sutra Brahmamimamsa, Vedanta Sutra and Physical Sutra. The main purpose of these sutras is to coordinate the philosophy of the Upanishads and to present it in a coordinated form. All these formulas are important. With his special philosophy, Badrayan published them in book form. It’s effort bears resemblance to the Bhagavadgita composed by Vyasa. Badrayana was the author of the Brahma Sutras. It has been considered as the base book of Vedanta Shastra or Uttara (Brahma) Mimansa. Even before Acharya Badrayan, there have been seven Acharyas of Vedanta.
The name of the first chapter of Brahmasutra is ‘Samanvaya’, in this many types of conflicting Shrutis have been coordinated in Brahma. The name of the second chapter is Avirodh. And the name of the third chapter is ‘Sadhaan’. And the name of the fourth chapter is Ful (Fruit).
