In the cradle of Shivalik, a warrior was born,
On a cold October morn, in Mendhar, Poonch forlorn,
A Mohyal Brahmin, with Rajput’s blood so pure,
Lachman Dev became Banda, his courage would endure.
From the monastery of Nanded, with Gobind Singh’s call,
He rose to fight for justice, and to break the empire’s wall.

Oh Banda Bahadur, the fearless one,
You led with valor, till your battles were won,
From Sonepat to Samana, Chappar Chiri’s sun,
Your name echoes in history, your legacy lives on.

At Samana you struck fear, the Mughals faced your might,
10,000 fell before you, in that fateful fight.
With the treasury of Samana, Sikhs stood tall,
You freed the land from chains, and answered justice’s call.
At Chappar Chiri, Wazir Khan fell to your blade,
Avenge the martyr’s sons, the debt you had repaid.

Oh Banda Bahadur, the fearless one,
You led with valor, till your battles were won,
From Lohgarh to Sadhaura, under the blazing sun,
Your name echoes in history, your legacy lives on.

In Sirhind’s fall, the empire trembled and cried,
The land belonged to farmers now, the oppressed stood with pride.
In the siege of Gurdaspur, even as the skies turned grey,
You stood tall with honor, till your final day.

From Rahon to Jalalabad, your sword never ceased,
You fought for freedom’s glory, for the downtrodden’s peace.
In Jammu and in Sadhaura, your courage soared so high,
Though tortured by your captors, your spirit didn’t die.
For dignity and justice, you gave your final breath,
But Banda Bahadur’s story defies the grasp of death.
