Indic Chronicles-12

Guhasena, like many of his Maitraka predecessors, was a patron of art, culture, and literature. His support for poets, scholars, and artists contributed to the flourishing of cultural and intellectual endeavours in his kingdom.
The Maitraka rulers, including Guhasena, were known for their association with Jainism. Guhasena supported Jain religious activities and contributed to the growth of Jain monastic communities in the region, further strengthening the presence of Jainism in his kingdom. Guhasena’s reign left an indelible mark on the cultural and religious landscape of his kingdom. His patronage of literature, art, and Jainism, along with the architectural legacy associated with his rule, continue to be important aspects of the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
