Vishnushena was another notable ruler of the Maitraka dynasty, which held sway over parts of western India
from the 5th to the 8th century CE. Vishnushena ascended to the throne in the 6th century CE during a time when the Maitrakas were a prominent ruling dynasty in the region, particularly in Gujarat. Vishnushena, like his predecessors, continued to be a patron of art, culture, and literature. During his rule, the Maitraka dynasty continued to support artistic endeavours, fostering the growth of cultural richness in the region.
