Palitana Plates of Dhruvasena 1

This inscription is signed by Mahasumanta, Maharaja Dhruvasena with his own hands, during the year 200 (+) 6, (the month) Bhadrapada the bright fortnight, the 5th tithi. The executor is Pratihara Mammaka, and it is written by Kikkaka. The inscription carries order of a grant, of a well to be enjoyed by kumara-sarmen and Jarabhajyi, of sandilya gotra (and) students of the chchhandoga school.

Dhruvasena I was a notable ruler of the Maitraka dynasty, which governed parts of western India from the 5th to the 8th century CE. Dhruvasena I is known for his significant contributions to the dynasty and the region during his rule.
